Quality Control Technician

Objectives of the position:

To perform quality control functions of GuardRFID products according to the standards of ISO 9001 policies and procedures, and product specifications.

Main responsibilities:

  • Inspection of incoming products based on IQC SOP, ISO:9001 policies procedures, and product features/specifications
  • Inspection of outgoing products shipped to customers based on OQC SOP, ISO:9001 policies and procedures
  • Activation of RFID Tags before shipping to customers
  • Serial Number record keeping in MRP software
  • RMA issuance and management (initial problem assessment, RMA document control, communication with customers in RMA handling, and interaction with Technical Support Team and Engineering on RMA resolutions)
  • Recording, analyzing, and closing of nonconformities & corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Maintaining RMA’s, CAPA’s, NCR’s, SOPs and QMS records and documents
  • Materials consignment to subcontractors
  • Maintenance of up to date of Bill of Materials
  • Inventory control (month-end inventory count & inventory reconciliation)
  • Other responsibilities as required by the Director of Operations & Supply Chain


  • Electronics Technology background and education an asset
  • Highly organized individual with attention to detail
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good computer skills (MS Office including Excel)
  • ISO9001 & QMS knowledge an asset
